Treasures and Beyond the Textblock

Dear Friends, Colleagues, and Bibliophiles,

We are delighted to share our two latest catalogues. The first of these, Treasures, showcases ten items variously dating between 1480 and 1700, from incunables to silver 'confetti'.

Treasures can be viewed online here, and paper copies are also available on request.

To coincide with this catalogue, we are pleased to share a special blog post, Friedrich Creussner, incunable pastedowns, and the early book trade, where we discuss common features of two items in the Treasures catalogue.

We have also recently put together a second catalogue, Beyond the Textblock (PDF).

Highlights include a rare catafalque book with enormous foldout plates and several unusual bindings — one even incorporating a mirror.

We will be presenting this list at the Chelsea Rare Book Fair on the 1st and 2nd of November at Booth 34.
