Ephemeral medical handbook structured with reference to the calendar, the moon, and the weather. Doctors from Spain, Italy, Germany, France and Savoy discuss the epidemics encountered in the different months, and the dates of the New Moon and weather information are also provided. The book includes medical recipes. The "political" element (seen in the title) appears to be provided by references to the health of courtiers, sovereigns, military officers and garrisons.

Third fol. loosening, and with loss at inner margin (perhaps two letters affected on verso, otherwise letters touched). Repairs, which remove the end of name of granter of printing licence (verso of third fol.) Bound in modern wrappers. Old inscriptions on title-page (recording date and name of author) and final leaf recto.
