Only recorded edition of this rare and fascinating book of analysis and proposals for environmental and public health improvement in the Madrid region. The author explores subjects including cultivation of lands bordering Madrid's nearby river Jarama, use of street cleaning machines and waste bins, human waste processing, street lighting, and nutrition. The author states himself to be a doctor of canon and civil law and medicine, and a sometime professor at the university of Valencia.

One volume, 15.2 cms. x 10.8 cms., octavo, pp. [34], 240. Signed: ⁋-⁋⁋8 ⁋⁋⁋1 A-P8. With the final leaf of prelims. (part of the chapter index). Roman and italic letter. Woodcut initial, tailpieces, typographical decoration. Medium browning, the odd minor spot or stain. Bound in laced-case limp vellum binding, title inked to spine, remains of ties of alum-tawed skin. Edges died pink. Inscription to verso of title-page: "Ex libris ad usum P. F.ris Antoni de los Reyes".
